At Mansfield Bible Church, our journey towards building a stronger community of faith is continually inspired by the word of God. Our upcoming build project campaign is an embodiment of this commitment, and we invite you to be a part of this blessed vision.

However, let it be known that our intention is not to create an atmosphere of obligation or pressure. We deeply believe in the sanctity of personal conviction and the intimacy of one's relationship with God. This project, and our ask, is an invitation for prayerful consideration. Before all else, we urge you to retreat into prayer. Let the quiet conversations between you and the Lord guide your heart.

For those who feel led to participate, the section below offers a space to, through faith, commit to an amount over the next three years. This is not merely a donation but a testament to our collective faith, hope, and love as a community.

Old car, boat, RV – Get full value tax write-off regardless of what the church can sell for.

Donate stock

Hypothetical – you want to give more but don’t have liquid cash, but you have stock in a brokerage. If the stock is at a loss, you could just sell it and donate whatever proceeds you desire. If it is at a gain, instead of selling it (which would create a taxable income for you) and donating the cash, you can donate the stock directly to MBC, and take a full deduction of the value of the stock. Donate RMD

Employer Match/Giving

Propose to your employer a matching grant to any employees (not just you) that give to charity, or simply ask if they’d be willing to make a contribution.

Garage sale

Have a garage sale and donate the proceeds. Make it known to people stopping by that the proceeds are going to a local church which may bolster their purchases!

Other sales

Short on cash but have extra time? Organize a bake sale, Car wash, craft sales, etc.

Future planned fundraisers

Silent Auction – looking for volunteers to organize a quarterly silent auction, find donations, etc.

Scripture memory – Kids/Youth (and adults can too!) asking for pledges for scripture memory

i.e. Friends and family committing a $1 for every verse memorized by the participant.

Participating in our 3-year fundraiser doesn't have to be a financial burden. In fact, small, consistent changes in our spending habits can lead to significant savings over time. Here are some simple strategies to help you redirect a portion of your everyday spending toward our church's campaign:

Dine-In Instead of Eating Out

A family of four enjoying a meal at Chick-fil-A might spend about $50. If you opt to dine in with a home-cooked meal once a week instead of eating out, that could save you $50 per week. Over a month, that's $200, and in three years, your savings could amount to an impressive $7,400!

Brew Your Own Coffee

For those of us who stop by the coffee shop daily, the expenses add up. A single $5 coffee every weekday totals $25 per week. By brewing your coffee at home, you could save $100 per month, which would grow to $3,600 over the span of our campaign.

Cut the Cable Cord

Many households pay $100 or more per month for cable television services. Switching to a more economical streaming service or using free, over-the-air broadcasts could cut that bill in half, if not more. A conservative saving of $50 per month on TV services adds up to $1,800 over three years.

Cutting Back on Streaming Services

In the era of digital entertainment, it's common to have multiple streaming service subscriptions for movies, TV shows, and other media. If you have, for example, three different services averaging $15 each per month, consider whether you might be able to do without one or two of them. If you were to eliminate just one service, you'd save $15 a month, which translates to $180 a year. Over the course of our 3-year fundraising campaign, this adds up to $540 in potential donations.

By being selective about your streaming choices, not only do you reclaim more time for family, friends, and faith, but you also gather a significant amount that can contribute greatly to our church’s initiatives. Every small change in our daily habits can lead to a meaningful offering towards our collective future.

Why are the portables not sufficient anymore?

• Our Student Ministry is growing. We have more students moving into youth ministry from sixth grade over the next five years.

• The portables are in poor condition with pier and structural issues.

• A/C cannot keep up in the summer months.

• Multiple repairs consisting of plumbing, doors, and decking issues.

Why can’t use just use some of the children’s building?

• We have a rental contract, excellent income, and a great relationship with the school UME.

• We can only get about ten students/adults in a shared classroom due to school furniture and space.

• Student ministry needs its own space.

• Wednesdays nights are becoming very busy with AWANAs moving to Wednesday nights. Men’s and Women’s ministry, student’s ministry, Spanish Ministry, and the MBC Institute are also all on Wednesday Night.

Why do we need to paint and update the present building?

• Building needs attention and refreshing.

• We have wood rot and other issues.

• The building will continue to deteriorate if we do not update.

• We want our buildings to reflect that we care about our church.

How are we going to use the new building and present church building?

• New Building

- The building will include a large worship/meeting area, four classrooms with sound barrier dividing walls to make eight smaller classrooms, two bathrooms, and a lobby area.

- The students will use the large meeting area for their weekly gatherings and two large classrooms for breakout groups. The lobby will have a hang-out area.

- The two other large classrooms (four divided) will be used for classes such as the MBC Institute, Bible studies, etc.

• The Main Building will continue to be used for worship, small groups, Spanish ministry, and Bible studies

• Children’s building will continue to be used on Sunday mornings and AWANA on Wednesday nights.
