Gospel Living

Sharing and living the gospel with others

Multiplication

The Great Commision

Jesus was about discipleship. He issues The Great Commision to the Church in (Matthew 28:18-20), which is all about multiplication. We are called to growth as we share the light of the gospel into a world of darkness. We ourselves become better disciples through loving God and others by equipping others people to do the same.

What does the Bible say?

God is intentional in our lives, and so we should also live with intentionality and purpose. God has determined the this exact time you are living in right now and we are meant to use it for His glory (Acts 17:26).

"11 Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade others. But what we are is known to God, and I hope it is known also to your conscience. 12 We are not commending ourselves to you again but giving you cause to boast about us, so that you may be able to answer those who boast about outward appearance and not about what is in the heart." - 2 Corinthians 5:11-12

"18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:18-20

The response

We want to live in such a way that has a purpose to enjoy God and to make Him known. Interacting with our neighbors, co-workers, friends, and family members with a missional life of purpose and meaning. We are called to disciple and multiply through the gospel for the glory of God. We do this by inviting the same people to the Church - which is not just Sunday mornings. We are the Church. Invite people to your homes, to your small groups, or to Sunday mornings. The gospel is for all people, and we want to follow Christ's example and commands to make disciples.
